A Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) is a unique reference number issued by your UK university or college once you have accepted an unconditional offer and paid any required tuition deposit. You cannot apply for a UK Student visa without a valid CAS. The CAS contains details of your course, fees and institution — UKVI uses it to verify your application. No. For a UK Student visa you must take the IELTS Academic for UKVI (or PTE Academic for UKVI) — the UKVI-approved version of the test taken at an approved test centre.
